My screen is flickering / stuck in red-green-blue / not powering correctly. What should I do?

Updated on Jul 09, 2025

If you're experiencing issues such as flickering, flashing red/green/blue colors, or a screen that won’t turn on, follow the steps below to troubleshoot:

1. Check the power source

Your laptop may not be delivering enough power through the USB port.
👉 To fix this, connect an external power source (5V/3A similar to the one you're using to charge your phone) to the second USB-C port on your AURA monitor (the port labeled for power input with a tiny 'battery' icon), it should bring the missing power to your new device.

2. Exit factory mode (red-green-blue screen)

If one of your screens is flashing solid red, green, or blue, it has likely entered factory mode due to a temporary lack of power from your laptop at first use.

To exit factory mode:

  • Long-press the Menu button on the side of the screen for 5 seconds
  • Press the Power button to turn the screen off, then again to turn it back on

(Or go to: OSD menu > Settings > Reset)

3. Reinstall the driver

If the issue persists, uninstall your current driver and reinstall the correct one (you can download the latest version from our Drivers page).

Once installed:

  • Reboot your computer
  • Relaunch the driver software
  • Reconnect both cables:
    • USB-C to your laptop
    • Power supply to the AURA monitor

If the problem persists, please repeat the procedure with this specific driver: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11HpZO_TI81kNFxr4vZI0hz5nOqqXQx5F/view?usp=drive_link

4. Check system performance (Windows only)

If the problem continues, check your CPU usage in Windows:

Open Task Manager > Performance tab

If the processor usage is too high, close unused apps to free up resources
